Bristol City Council and WECA intend to make improvements to the major radial bus routes that pass through the city over the next 10 years. The aim is to make it easier and more convenient to use the bus, walk and cycle wherever possible, rather than use private cars.
The first route to be improved is the A37/A4018 corridor, which corresponds to the No 2 bus route between Stockwood and Cribbs Causeway. An initial consultation asks for ideas for improvements to this route, for both bus passengers and for those walking or cycling along the route. This will then lead to a further consultation when specific proposals are ready.
BWA has responded to the initial consultation by answering the specific questions posed online, making some general points that are relevant to this and other bus corridors, and including comments on specific issues with this bus corridor.
