A new signal-controlled pedestrian crossing is being proposed as part of junction refurbishments where Avon Street joins Temple Way.
BWA welcomes this as it will provide a crossing in a stretch of Temple Way that otherwise acts as a barrier to pedestrians and also will be on a walking route between Temple Meads Station and Castle Park / Old City.
In our response, however, we question several details of how the crossing will be implemented in order to provide a good experience for pedestrians.
