Bristol City Council are proposing improvements to Riverside Park and the River Frome channel to improve green and public spaces and to restore the River Frome as a thriving ecological corridor. BWA has responded to the consultation on these improvements.
In our response, we support the desire to create a better river environment and public space for those visiting Riverside Park. However, the proposed design creates unacceptable conflict between pedestrians and cyclists.
We had previously pointed out our concerns about the shared use between pedestrians and cyclists of the route alongside the river in our response to the Frome Gateway consultation. We hope an alternative route for cyclists can be found.
