As part of the redevelopment of the site of the former Temple Way House that is currently happening, it is proposed to build a pontoon walkway on the north side of the Floating Harbour under Temple Bridge.
BWA has objected to planning application 19/00664/F to point out that the design of the proposed pontoon is inadequate to be a City
Centre walking route, as identified in the Bristol City Centre Public Realm and Movement Framework.
While we would support this as a new pedestrian route, our objection points out that the proposed pontoon is too narrow, insufficiently direct and not adequately accessible to be part of a general network of traffic-free routes.
