It’s an extra special Walk to School Week for Living Streets this year as we celebrate our 90th anniversary. Strider (our orange foot mascot) will be walking his way across the city and taking part in lots of exciting activities.
Bristol will be celebrating with five street parties across the week. We will have a one day road closure at drop off or pick up at Little Mead Primary Academy, Perry Court E-Act Academy, Summerhill Academy, Redfield Educate Together and Shirehampton Primary School. This will allow families to take part in a car-free celebration. We will also be celebrating at a number of schools across the week with school gate events, assemblies and competitions.
On Tuesday 21st May keep your eyes peeled for lots of funky shoes out and about as we celebrate Happy Shoesday; this is a day when we celebrate walking by wearing the shoes that make us happy. Any school can take part: find out more on the Living Streets website.
