Yes, #Bristol has floating bus stops. Where used they need to be designed well, intuitive to all users & able to cope with the volumes ... of people on foot/cycle using them. They kerb separate modes , slow cyclists down & provide crossings & tactiles. https://t.co/Acz6rDpzuW

We also have shared use bus boarders with no separation & so more problematic for all, like this one opp. The Hot Air Balloon in Filton.... Kerb separating people on foot from those on cycles from those in cars is always safest, & more comfortable for all. https://t.co/Acz6rDpzuW

Perhaps least safe scenario is when illegal parking prevents a bus fully pulling in & passengers have to step into road (impossible for ... some with limited mobility). I got hit once as a stepped off a bus by a cyclist passing on the inside. Design & enforcement could address this. https://t.co/Acz6rDHamu

We also have bus stops in the middle of busy roads in #Bristol, where bus users have to negotiate two lanes of busy car traffic which is ... much more dangerous to pedestrians than cycles, but at least again there is kerb separation, adequate space & in this case signalised crossings https://t.co/Acz6rDpzuW
